Tara Donovan, Pt. 2

You remember building sand castles by dripping mud into turrets on the beach when you were a little kid? That's what these remind me of.
But they aren't sand. They're buttons glued together. Ridiculous.
Starting with the nearest cube, we have shattered glass, steel pins, and wooden toothpicks all held in perfect order by gravity alone.

Here's a close0up of the steel.

And the toothpicks.

She made landscapes out of pieces of No. 2 pencils! I love this lady. I bet her elementary school teachers didn't though.

It's a 3D map!
It's a dried lava flow!
It's ripped and stacked tar paper! Such an amazing texture.
She says that she is "trying to mimick the way of nature, that way things actually grow."
